I am a DPhil student in the Planetary Atmosphere Observation Analysis group, University of Oxford, studying the atmosphere of Venus. My research focuses on understanding how energy moves through Venus’s thick cloud layers by analysing data from past spacecraft missions. I use a modelling tool called NEMESIS to re-examine these measurements, helping to constrain cloud properties and investigate the possible presence of near-surface haze. I also carry out radiative transfer simulations to support the design and interpretation of observations for future missions to Venus.
